I'm officially Two and a Half Years Old!
Disney... Christmas... Visit with Grandpa... Pony Rides... Valentines Day....
Everyday Cole still surprises us with new words and new songs! He still loves school and playing outside. Grandpa Jarrett came from WA for a visit and built Cole his very own house in the backyard! Cole hides from Monsters out there :)
School is such a blessing. He is getting smarter everyday!!!! He knows 2 colors in Spanish - Red (Rojo) and Green (Verde).
Cole is addicted to sweets so much that he even dreams about them... for the 3rd time last night he cried out in his sleep "My CANDY!! My CANDY!!!" like someone is trying to take his candy away from him LOL He is too funny!
2/2/2012
Cole said his own prayer last night for the first time. I usually say it for him and list the things I think he is thankful for but last night he took the lead and thanked God for the following: his turtle, pillow pet, thomas bed, blankets and Mommy :)- I love him!!!
2/9/2012 - Cole said his prayer again.. just like above but added in that he was thankful for french fries too :)
4/8/12 - Cole's 3rd Easter! He went and met the Easter Bunny at the Mall :) and the Easter Bunny brought him lots of CANDY :) He really enjoyed all the easter egg hunts he had this year. The night before Easter Cole told me a story before bed: Mommy he said "Jesus rode a donkey into a town and people waved palm branches" and then "Jesus died on a cross and the soldiers put him in a tomb." It is amazing what his school has taught him! I love that he is in a Christian school.
5/4/2012- Cole took his 2nd trip to MN to visit Great Grandma VanderSluis and Grandpa and other family. They had a big celebration for Grandma's 80th Birthday! Great Grandma was super surprised and excited to see Cole.
5/13/12 - Cole went to the Circus for the first time and really enjoyed the Trapeezers, Elephants, Tight Rope walkers and the motorcycle cage :) Cole even rode an elephant! His favorite part was probably the popcorn and cotton candy :)
5/14/12 - Nana wrote this: Cole and I usually spend our entire afternoon playing ball - soccer, baseball or football. This afternoon we played ball for a while but then he wanted to play monster, new game for me but I said OK. We had to run and hide from the monster and our hiding place was in the bathroom with the door locked. He took a toy with him that he uses as his cell phone. While we were hiding he said "Nana, did you hear that monster?" I answered " I heard something. Do you think we should call someone for help?" I expected him to call Mommy, Daddy, the police or fireman. He picked up his phone and said " Hello Jesus...Jesus, we need your help!" Why didn't I think of that? What a wonderful message from a child!!
